Bill Burke’s continued travels in Indochina searching for another opportunity to photograph the Khmer Rouge. “Out of five days of effort, two arrests, many thoughts of being shot as an intruder, several kilometers of walking on ground I feared might explode, I can only remember a single picture that might have been worth taking……..but although the past week has been full of frustration and fear, I remind myself that a bad day here is better than a good day at home.” Sort of a sequel to I Want to Take Picture with better pictures and more interesting weaving of themes.. Much more personally revealing than the earlier book. Includes collages of personal journal entries and disparate paper ephemera. Strong thematic references to Apocalypse Now.
